In 1996, The RAINBOW TIMES, the official school paper in English was born under the supervision of then English teachers Mrs, Mylene Abayon, Miss Eva Villanueva, Ms. Leila Maupay and Mrs. Anna Liza Manalo, the Chemistry teacher, and under the then principal Ms. Julieta Perlas.
Hand-picked to become Editor-in-Chief was Sharon Padaoan, then a senior student. With brilliant mind full of new ideas and active physique, she was able to come up with the first issue of the school paper in just a matter of seven days.
From the Municipality of Roxas, her group went forth to join the 8th Division Schools PressCon. Neophyte they maybe, yet the paper and the budding journalists brought home several recognitions.
In 2004, The Pulso ng EMITS, school paper in Filipino was born. Basically, it is distributed to students in the first and second years of high school.
Without let-up, year after year, the team of these papers never failed to bring recognitions for EMITS.
